Fearless by Max Lucado

fearlessToday is the day for new beginnings.  You deserve to live today differently than you lived yesterday and the day before.

If you are like many of us, there is at least one area of your life that is crippled by fear.

Some time ago, I spent a long time studying fear and how to get out from under it – now Max Lucado wrote the book – you can live Fearless.  This book is not a saga or a story.  It is practical, going from area to area of life and discussing the fear that debilitates and how to be free.

Fear of not mattering, fear for my kids, fear of…pretty much you fill in the box, and Max has written a chapter for you.  One sentence that really got me was “ordinary children today are more fearful than psychiatric patients were in the 1950’s”.

Do you realize the amount of stress we live under?

Do you realize the size of our God?

Perhaps you need a reminder like I did.

Fearless was written for us, today.   In the age where banks can go caput, planes fly where they aren’t supposed to, wars, drugs, layoffs, the bad news continues.  But God…!

I hope that you pick up a copy, read it, and share it with a friend.  If you read nothing else this year, this one will change your life.  BTW, there is a study guide at the end, so you can go through the questions with a group.

Full disclosure:  I’m not a Lucado fan in general.  This book rocked my boat.  I think it is more than worth the read.  Enjoy.  You can buy it on Amazon.
