Waiting on God

This morning I woke up at 5:30am.  The last couple of days have been joyful, but I knew that I needed replenishment from God, so when I woke up so early, I excited to spend time with God.

As I flipped through my bible, I came upon these words in Isaiah 40:

Do you not know?  Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God.  the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary they will walk and not be faint.

It was like God just wanted to show me that one thing.  I slept a while longer.  The thing is, that when I got all the kids out the door, I was still spiritually tired.  I crawled back in bed and contemplated waiting on Him.

I think for the next couple days, I’m going to explore this:  what do we do when we wait on the Lord.
