Isaiah 26:3 says “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”
Peace isn’t a place or absense of conflict. It is a state of mind in the midst of conflict, and we get it by trusting in God.
I’ve thought often lately of Joshua. Do you realize he didn’t know that Moses was up there on the hill raising his hands? He just knew the battle was going for or against him. But he kept going forward. He kept his troops focused as well. He knew his place in the battle and he stayed focused on where God had him. He kept fighting.
The battle was eventually won, and Joshua’s faith was built so much so that later, in another battle, he asked God to stop the sun from moving and He did.
“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” Lord, give us that lazer focus and trust in You.
